The Mysterious Garden - is a watercolor by Charles Rennie Mackintosh from around 1905. The painting portrays a lush, intricate garden with delicate floral patterns and elegant, flowing lines. Mackintosh uses a soft color palette, including muted greens, blues, and pinks, which blend together to create a calm and sophisticated atmosphere. The painting is known for its refined details and the way it evokes a sense of tranquility and natural beauty (Holloway, 2023).
"The May Queen" is inspired by the May Day festival, a spring time celebration in Europe. In the painting, the May Queen is the central figure, four women arrenget evenly around her. Each one is dressed a flowing gown and long hair. The women on either side hold flower garlands over the central figure. They, along with the May Queen, are surrounded by stylized flowers and twisting vines, giving the piece a blend of natural and magical feel (Howarth, 2023)

Additionally, I will be emphasing floral and geometric patterns which blending historical and elegance. My aim is bring the calm of "The Mysterious Garden," and "The May Queen"creating a collection that reflects the delicate beauty of Mackintosh’s work.
