Creating a website: Homepage
This week, I'm starting my website creation with Wix. My website will serve as a platform to showcase my work in Crafts Design, my collection of bag designs for this term. I start with homepage.
I like the template! Its simplicity and beautiful colors I will make my work well.
I am starting with the title, I clicked on it twice, I open the dialog box where I can easily edit the name to personalize it for my website.
Then, I typed my name and changed the font by selecting the Roboto bold font and the size to 46
My next step is to change the section background, I need to click on the section where I want to add the new images. I use Unsplash to find images that are free from copyright, then the menu on the left-hand side and selected 'Choose Image' to initiate the creation of an image section. Upon selecting the image, options emerged, including the 'Change Background' button, which I clicked. I navigated to the 'Image' button. I clicked on 'Upload Media' followed by 'Upload from Computer'.
Then I created the Footer I double clicked the copyright text on the bottom and changed the text to the right year and my own name, and doing screenshot
To centre the navigation, I clicked on the text and selected the 'Design' option. From there, I change the size to my preference.
I added a new page called "Portfolio" to the left-hand menu and removed some pages that I didn't need. I took a screenshot of the preview to see how my site will look, and I tested the navigation to ensure that the home page, portfolio, contact, and about sections are working correctly.
In my Wix program I clicked on the bottom mobile version, and I done screenshot saved in my desktop and upload in my blog
Update - I want to change my Home page, background, colors and Text design. I clicked Change section background, click image and upload new image to use Unsplush. Than I change design my name, the font I chose Playfair Display size 47, crafts-design I chance font Wix Madefor Display size 40. Than I moved my navigation bar no the right corner.
