Major Project: Intial Ideas
Intial Ideas
Since I'm studying craft design, it is my first project I have some interesting ideas
My initial idea is to create a craft fashion collection, this collection inspired me colourful embroidery
Taking cues from Dolce and Gabbana, the collection will feature decadent lace and floral prints, lending an extra touch of sweetness to the designs. Elaborate scenes of flowers and birds will adorn handbags and heels, adding to the opulent charm of the pieces.(Caras,2012)
My second idea involves creating women metal jewelry pieces. I found inspiration in the work of designer Mary Lee Hu, She working with gold into majestic jewelry pieces using only her hands, avoiding the use of a loom. He twists high-carat gold wires by hand to create necklaces, brooches, earrings, and rings. Her pieces possess a distinct illusion of softness, showcasing her unique craftsmanship.
Almost all the elements for greater recognition save one (a national or even regional tour) are in place for Hu with this survey: loans from major private collections and East Coast museums; big-name art critics and curators to author the catalogue essays; an elaborate, gorgeously designed full-color hardbound monograph and a major art museum venue. (Bellevue is now among the top ten decorative arts museums in the United States.)(Kangas,2012)
While hardly “watered down,’He’s subsequent twined gold necklaces and cuffs gained greater market and museum attention as they continued to develop in nearly every significant way — colour, line, scale —except innovative form or the radical risk-taking(Kangas,2012)
My third idea is create a crochet bag. Inspired by Stella McCartney. She innovative design combines the timeless art. Her crochet bag eco-friendly fashion, she using ethically sourced materials. Its unique traditional crochet techniques and modern, minimalist design, this bag will be a statement piece that reflects both style and sustainability.
